Arthur Fery will look to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a first round defeat at the Japan Open last week, and is set to open up his campaign against Marin Cilic. It will mark a first career meeting between the two, with a second round clash against 26th seed Karen Khachanov awaiting the winner.

The British No.1 recorded his first Masters 1000 main draw win at the Cincinnati Open back in August and will look to string together another strong run of results over the next 12 days.

Meanwhile, British No.2 Cam Norrie is due to face Denis Shapovalov in the opening round, although it's yet to be confirmed whether the Canadian is fit to compete in the tournament.

Shapovalov was forced to retire from his quarter-final match against Carlos Alcaraz in Tokyo last week after picking up a hip injury in the second set, but will be hoping to get the all-clear to compete in Shanghai this week.

Should Norrie win his first round match, he’ll face 28th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round before a potential meeting against Daniil Medvedev in the round of 32.

The Shanghai Masters main draw will get underway from Wednesday 7 October.

You can watch all the action from the Shanghai Masters live and exclusively on Sky Sports and NOW TV.
