Mensik and Cerundolo will join world No.4 and three-time champion Taylor Fritz, and British No.2 Jacob Fearnley in the draw for the ATP 250 event this year.

In the women’s event, Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, reigning Eastbourne title-holder Daria Kasatkina and home-favourite Sonay Kartal have already been announced as well.

Mensik is one of the standout players of the year so far on the ATP Tour – winning his first ATP Masters 1000 title at the Miami Open after an epic run. The 19-year-old beat Jack Draper, Fritz and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic en-route to the title.

The Czech star is currently the youngest player ranked inside the ATP’s top 50 at a career-high world No.21. As well as winning the title in Miami, Mensik has also reached the quarter-finals of the Mutua Madrid Open as well as ATP 250 events in Brisbane and Auckland.

“Lifting the title in Eastbourne back in 2023 has been one of the highlights of my career so far," Cerundolo said. "It’s a fantastic event, the grass courts are amazing and it’s so nice for the players and fans to be right next to the beach.

"I feel like I’m playing some great tennis at the moment. My game is always improving, I’ve been getting some good results at big events and I’m just enjoying myself right now. I can’t wait to get back to Eastbourne and hopefully I can my hands on the trophy again.”

Cerundolo is a three-time ATP title-winner, with trophies in Eastbourne, Bastad and Umag, and is currently ranked 18th in the world.

In 2023 he defeated Tommy Paul in the Eastbourne final to become the first Argentinian to win a grass court tournament since Javier Frana in 1995 (Nottingham).

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form so far this season – reaching the final in Buenos Aires, semi-finals at the Mutua Madrid Open, Munich and Santiago, as well as quarter-finals in Miami, Indian Wells and Rio de Janeiro.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to Great Britain and competing on the grass at the LTA’s Lexus Eastbourne Open. Last summer was my first time playing pro-level events on grass, and I learned a lot from those matches that I’ll carry with me into this year. I also played well on grass during the juniors, so am looking forward to playing on it again."

Brazilian sensation Fonseca has taken the ATP Tour by storm this season. Having started the year with a win over then world No.9 Andrey Rublev in the opening round of the Australian Open, the 18-year-old went on to become the fourth youngest man to win an ATP title since 2000 at the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires.

Fonseca won last year’s Next Gen ATP Finals for the world’s best players under the age of 20 and is regarded – alongside Mensik – as one of the brightest talents in the game right now.
