Junior Grand Slams

The event that every performance junior tennis player aims to compete in – the grand slams. The pinnacle of junior tennis.

Junior Championships, Wimbledon

Our home slam, and our favourite (yes we are bias). Competing at Wimbledon is an experience like no other, and we are lucky to be able to put forward a number of players each year for wildcard opportunities in both the main draw and qualifying events.

The Junior Championships begin the first weekend of the tournament, with the respective qualifying event taking place at The Wimbledon Qualifying and Community Sports Centre, Roehampton at the beginning of that same week.

There are six Junior events at The Championships: Boys' Singles, Girls' Singles, Boys' Doubles, Girls' Doubles, as well as an invitational 14&U Singles draw for both boys and girls.

Henry Searle became the first Brit to win the Junior Championships, Wimbledon in 61 years when he took the boys’ singles title in 2023. By reaching the final, Searle joined the likes of Liam Broady and Jack Draper as the third Brit in 11 years to reach the final two of the tournament.

Hear from our national coaches, player coaches and the players themselves on what the Junior Championships means to them, what it’s like to compete at, and how you could work your way to one day stepping out on the Wimbledon grass.

US Open Junior Championships

The US Open Junior Championships take place during the second week of the tournament, preceded by junior singles qualifying.

The main event features a 64-player singles draw for both genders and a 32-team doubles championships for both boys and girls, giving fans the opportunity to catch tomorrow’s biggest stars from around the world in action.

Our very own Mika Stojsavlejic won the US Open Girl’s Singles title in 2024. Find out more about the event and it’s history here.

Junior Australian Open

The Junior Australian Open is the oldest of the Grand Slam junior draws, having established a boys' competition in 1922.

At this stage, it wasn't designated as one of the majors and only reached this status two years later in 1924. A girls' draw was further added in 1930.

Roland Garros Junior Championships

The Roland Garros Junior Championships is held during the second week of the tournament on the same famous clay courts of Paris. The same format as the other junior grand slams, the main draw is preceded by a qualifying event of 32.

In 2025 Hannah Klugman became the first British player to reach the junior finals at Roland Garros in 49 years, but narrowly missed out on the title.

Junior Grand Slam Grants

As part of our player support packages at the LTA, we offer Junior Grand Slam Grants to those players who qualify or get in by their own right to the main draw of the US Open, Australian Open and Roland Garros.
