Niall, seeded 7, won through in straight sets against fifth seed Lorimer, securing a 6-3, 6-1 success to lift the trophy. His victory marked his second successive title, after he won the boys’ under-12 event in 2022.

Niall was delighted with the victory. He said: "I am so happy to have been able to defend my title of ‘British National Champion’- this time in my first year of the 14U age group. I think I played well without dropping a set throughout the tournament, especially in the final.”

Tennis Wales Head of Performance Chris Lewis said: “This is a superb achievement by Niall. To see him take the silverware last year at the under-12 event was amazing. To step up into a higher age group where he is among the younger players and to win shows what a strong player Niall is. Llongyfarchiadau Niall, everyone in Wales is extremely proud.”
