Big Tennis Weekend is Back

The Big Tennis Weekend returns to Wales with a bang on 16/17 July, giving thousands of people in Wales the chance to try tennis for free.

Summer kids throwing balls in the parkThe initiative, is the largest tennis participation event across Wales. It is open to anyone who wants take part, whether they’re trying tennis for the first time, or returning to the sport.

On top of taster and drop-in sessions there will be lots of games, competitions, with prizes to be won, as well as other fun activities, and refreshments.

Participants don’t even need any tennis equipment, it will all be provided. All they will need is enthusiasm and energy for what will be a highly enjoyable event.

Tennis Wales CEO Simon Johnson said: ‘Big Tennis Weekends are real highlights for us at Tennis Wales. They encapsulate our vision of opening up tennis to everyone. They are fun, exciting, and give anyone who wants to give our great sport a try the opportunity to do so.

'And, if you can’t put the racket down afterwards, we’ll let you know how you can continue to play, including our LTA Youth Start for kids aged 4-11.'
