It’s been a busy and successful couple of weeks for Scots competing around the world – including during The Championships Wimbledon.
Gordon Reid reached yet another final on the grass of the All England Club, but he and doubles partner Alfie Hewett had to settle for second in the men’s wheelchair doubles.
In the singles, Cameron Norrie put together a tremendous run, reaching the quarter-finals of men's singles before bowing out at the hands of Carlos Alcaraz.
There was a mixed doubles main draw win for Maia Lumsden, while Hephzibah Oluwadare won two matches to qualify for the girls' singles.
While the second week of Wimbledon was playing out, there was a grass-court title for Scottish duo Scott Duncan and James MacKinlay as the ATP Challenger Tour visited Nottingham.
The fourth seeds saved an astonishing 13 match points to defeat top seeds Charles Broom and Mark Whitehouse in a tightly contested final, which was decided by a mammoth match tie-break lasting almost half an hour, 7-5, 4-6, 20-18.
After the match, MacKinlay said: “It hasn’t really set in. I don't really know what happened from about 9-2 down to be honest. We just went for the shots and we said at the start of the of tie-break that we're just going to go for it, and it paid off.”
Also in the winners’ circle during the last fortnight was Matt Rankin, who collected the first pro title of his career on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
Rankin teamed up with Cooper Williams to win a hard-fought final 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 at the M15 Monastir.
Going close to a second title on the ITF tour was Charlie Robertson as the young Scot teamed up with Wake Forest University teammate Luca Pow to reach the final of an M25 ITF event in Portugal, however the pair were edged out in a match tie-break.
At home, the Tennis Scotland Open Tour saw one of its biggest events of the year at the Giffnock Open, which was also part of the Lexus British Tour.
In the men’s singles, Kyle McKay took the title with a win over Cian McDonnell in the final, while Halle Pringle picked up the women’s title by beating Alice Brook.
Meanwhile, the junior tennis circuit continued to be busy with a number of Scottish winners at the Lexus Scottish Junior Open.
Louis Taylor, Chenming Dong, Aadya Iyer Chadalawada and Matilda Kasselstrand took home titles following a fantastic week of tennis in Edinburgh.
And there was success for Cameron Rae at the Tennis Europe Austrian Youth Open Kufstein as he won the 12U doubles and reached the final of singles.
