Ewen Lumsden & Maia Lumsden complete brother-sister double at TS Open Tour Finals 2025

Ewen Lumsden and Maia Lumsden completed a magnificent brother-sister double as they were crowned champions at the Tennis Scotland Open Tour Finals.
In the men’s event, Ewen clinched his second successive title after Nicolas Rosenzweig withdrew shortly before the final, while for Maia it was also a second victory since the TS Open Tour began in 2019, and one she secured with a win over 2024 champion and top seed Mia Wainwright.
Both Lumsdens got their hands on the Sword trophies without dropping a set and coped admirably with unfortunate circumstances after a power failure at Scotstoun Community Indoor Tennis Centre.
That saw the second day’s action moved to David Lloyd Glasgow West End and meant that plans to broadcast the closing stages on Premier Sports had to be shelved.
Ewen, who has won three ITF World Tennis Tour tiles this year, said: "It was unfortunate that Nick couldn't play the final, but I'm really happy to win and with how I've been performing since coming back from injury.
"It's great to win and I can now look forward with confidence to 2026, starting with the UTR event at the University of Stirling and the Glasgow Challenger."
Maia, who played doubles at all four Grand Slams in 2025, said: "It feels great to win a title, especially in the same tournament as my brother, which is nice for the family.
"I was a little bit rusty in singles coming into this event, but the more I played, the better I played."
