James MacKinlay and Connor Thomson made it back-to-back titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour as they won an M25 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
For Thomson, it was actually a third successive title, while for the all-Scottish pair it was trophy number three of the year.
The team made their way to the final without dropping a set, but had to battle back to clinch victory over Sergey Betov and Daniil Ostapenkov 6-7, 6-4, 10-8.
Maia Lumsden and Hamish Stewart also reached pro finals during a busy week for Scots on tour.
Lumsden again teamed up with Harriet Dart following their recent victory at the Caldas da Rainha Challenger in Portugal as the pair went close to another title at the Samsun Open WTA 125 event in Turkey.
Going in as top seeds, the all-British pair strolled through the first round, dropping just two games, but then had to work hard in the last eight to beat Darja Vidmanova and Ksenia Zaytseva 6-3, 3-6, 10-2.
They enjoyed another straight-sets win in the semis to set up a final against Naima Karamoko and Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah. After a tight battle, Lumsden and Dart were edged out 5-7, 6-1, 6-10.
Stewart, meanwhile, was in action on the ATP Challenger Tour, where he teamed up with Harry Wendelken for a run to the final at the Mouilleron Le Captif Challenger 75.
The pair reached the decider without dropping a set before losing out to Gregoire Jacq and Albano Olivetti.
Zlotnik & Prisadnikova win on TS Open Tour
With only a few events left to seal qualification for the Tennis Scotland Open Tour Finals, players gathered at Newlands LTC to compete for vital leaderboard points.
The event – which is also part of the Lexus British Tour – was won by Samuel Zlotnik (men’s singles) and Teodora Prisadnikova (women’s singles) following three days of exciting action.
In the men’s event, Zlotnik overcame a tight quarter-final against Zak Radziwillowicz 7-6, 3-6, 10-7 to keep his title charge on the road, before eventually picking up the trophy following a dramatic 5-7, 6-4, 10-4 win over Cameron Fryer.
Prisadnikova picked up the women’s title after a more straightforward week which saw her drop just 12 games, completing her run with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Tamara Kuti.
