• 2 minute read

Tennis Scotland are once again inviting applications for our exciting Coach Development Apprenticeship Programme.

The 12-month, full-time programme is designed to nurture ambitious young coaching talent and lay down a pathway towards a career in tennis.

Previous apprentices have become coaches and head coaches in Scottish clubs and venues, with other opportunities arising in competition management and sport development.

Our current group of Apprentices work at different venues around the country, including Iona Ralph who is based at Craiglockhart Tennis Club in Edinburgh, and Megan O'Brien, who is based at Hillhead Tennis Club.

Successful candidates – who will be aged under 20 - will gain valuable hands-on experience of organising and delivering tennis on a national, regional and local basis.

Tennis Scotland is an ambitious, confident organisation aiming to engage everyone involved in tennis and padel to create investment and growth to ensure a sustainable and healthy future for Scottish tennis and padel.

The role requires a candidate with a proactive mindset and excellent interpersonal skills to be able to build strong and sustainable working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to work outside standard working hours at certain times of the year, including weekends.
