When completing the DBS application form, you will be asked to choose your preferred method of ID verification between the Post Office or an LTA ID Checker. 

Please note that the verification method cannot be changed once it has been selected - a new application will be required which will incur further payment, however applicants can apply for a refund from First Advantage by contacting them at https://help.fadv.com/

• Post Office - select 'Post Office' in the application form and follow the instructions on the link
• LTA ID Checker - select 'Organisation' in the application form and contact an ID Checker in your venue or county.  Please click here to see the list of current ID Checkers.  If you are unable to use an LTA ID Checker you will need to utilise the Post Office verification.

You must complete the ID verification before your DBS application can be processed.
