Yes - If you are eligible for two categories you can choose which category you wish to compete in but it is not possible to compete in both the men’s and the women’s categories of Specified

What are Specified Competitions?

Specified Competitions are defined as any competition which: is Graded 1-6; becomes Graded 1-6 at any stage, e.g. Play Your Way to Wimbledon; or which the LTA expressly states is Specified.

Why are Local Tennis Leagues Non-Specified competition?

Local Tennis Leagues are there to provide competitive opportunities for anyone, irrespective of their gender or sex, based on a person’s World Tennis Number (WTN).  The WTN is a useful tool

Where a Non-Specified Competition is organised by the LTA, non-binary individuals, whether assigned male or female at birth, are eligible to compete in either the men’s or women’s category.
