Sport is an important and integral part of what the University of Essex offers. Essex Sport delivers a wide range of opportunities for both our University community of staff and students, and the wider community from the local and regional area to access facilities and sport and fitness activities in the pursuit of making people happier and healthier and positively changing lives.
Tennis is one of our focus sports, where we have an emerging national reputation for competitive excellence. Alongside competition outcomes, tennis is also an important sport for us in supporting the development of community and belonging, whilst also supporting students in gaining employability skills through a highly active and popular student tennis club and a range of recreational tennis activities.
With the support of the LTA, we now have an exciting opportunity for a University Tennis Coordinator to join our programme, creating opportunities for students to take part in recreational and competitive tennis, assisting the Tennis Performance Coach with coaching for our tennis scholarship students, and leading coaching for the student tennis club and BUCS teams.
