An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and motivated Tennis Professional to join the coaching team at Oxstalls Sports Park. We are looking for a minimum LTA Level 2 qualified and accredited coach who is passionate about creating positive, engaging experiences on court and helping players of all ages and abilities enjoy and progress within tennis. The successful candidate will have opportunities to deliver across our growing junior, adult and inclusive Open Court programmes, with a varied programme of group coaching available. For Level 3 qualified coaches, there is also the opportunity to develop a programme of 1-to-1 coaching alongside group delivery. You will become part of an established and supportive coaching team, providing further opportunities to pick up additional cover and coaching hours. Most importantly, this is a programme with real ambition to grow; we are looking for someone who wants to become embedded within the venue, build relationships with our players and customers and grow their coaching hours alongside the continued development of the programme.

Oxstalls Sports Park is a busy and progressive community sports venue operated by Freedom Leisure, one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit charitable leisure and cultural trusts, whose mission is to “improve lives through leisure.” Freedom Leisure operates more than 130 leisure, cultural and entertainment venues across the UK and reinvests its surpluses back into the services it provides. At Oxstalls, we are passionate about making tennis welcoming, accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with opportunities ranging from junior and adult participation through to our award-winning inclusive Open Court programme. Our programme provides opportunities including wheelchair tennis, SEN/learning disability tennis, visually impaired (VI) tennis and Walking Tennis, creating a genuinely inclusive environment in which coaches can broaden their experience and make a difference beyond the traditional tennis court. We are looking for a positive, energetic and reliable coach who loves being on court and shares our ambition to grow a welcoming, inclusive and high-quality tennis programme. Candidates must hold a minimum LTA Level 2 coaching qualification and current LTA Coach Accreditation, with Level 3 or above particularly welcomed. You should be confident delivering fun, purposeful and engaging sessions, communicate effectively with juniors, adults, parents, colleagues and customers, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a wider coaching team. We are particularly interested in coaches who are adaptable, proactive and willing to get involved across different areas of the programme. Experience of inclusive or disability tennis is welcomed but is not essential; more important is an enthusiasm to learn and a genuine desire to make tennis accessible to everyone. The ideal candidate will bring energy, professionalism, excellent timekeeping and strong interpersonal skills, alongside a commitment to their own continued development. We are looking for someone who doesn’t simply want to deliver sessions, but who wants to become part of the Oxstalls tennis community, help us grow the programme and grow with it.
