We are growing, and we are looking for an LTA Level 2 or 3 qualified coach to grow with us.
Why this role
•Guaranteed hours: 12 coached hours per week during term time, guaranteed, with real potential to grow. No cold starts and no empty diaries.
•Published rates: £22 to £26 per hour at Level 2, £26 to £30 at Level 3. Once Level 3 is attained, you set your own private 1-2-1 rates on top, in a catchment with some of the strongest private lesson demand in the region.
•A four day week that works: Friday to Monday captures the club's busiest days and leaves Tuesday to Thursday free to build your wider coaching business, with an option on midweek hours as our programme expands.
•Real development: mentorship directly from our Head Coach, and for Level 2 coaches, active support towards your Level 3, which unlocks 1-2-1 delivery and your own private rates.
•Variety: junior and adult group programmes, 1-2-1s, holiday camps, a schools outreach programme you will help grow with our Club Development Manager, and opportunities across our badminton and table tennis sections, where our coaches work collaboratively to support all three sports.

About the club
Harrogate Racquets Club is a friendly community amateur sports club (CASC) offering dedicated facilities for tennis, badminton and table tennis. The club is located in a quiet leafy residential cul-de-sac on the south side of Harrogate, just off Leeds Road, and is run for the benefit of members by teams of volunteers with the aim of delivering a welcoming, safe and lively sporting environment.
Tennis facilities include four all weather outdoor artificial grass courts, three of which are floodlit. Playing standards range from beginners to advanced, the club fields six tennis teams, and social tennis runs all year round alongside club tournaments, American doubles events and junior matchplay afternoons.

What we are looking for
Essential
•A LTA Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, with valid LTA Coach Accreditation
•Valid DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid certification (held as part of current LTA Coach Accreditation)
•Well organised with good communication skills, comfortable dealing with parents and members
•Proactive, positive and deeply passionate about tennis and developing players
•A self starter who is keen to learn and develop under senior coaching leadership
Desirable
•Level 2 coaches actively working towards Level 3, which the club will support through Head Coach mentorship
•Experience in coaching both juniors and adults across a range of abilities
Terms
•Guaranteed hours: a guaranteed minimum of 12 coached hours per week during term time, with potential to grow. The guarantee is expressed as a minimum number of delivery sessions at the sessional rate.
•Rates of pay: Level 2 £22 to £26 per hour; Level 3 £26 to £30 per hour [subject to directors' approval following the salary review]. Private 1-2-1 rates are set by the coach once Level 3 has been attained.
•Growth: clear pathways to increase hours and responsibility based on performance and programme growth, including private lessons, additional group sessions and club events.
