Tennis Coach + Private Lessons
Working in world-class facilities, including top-class indoor and outdoor courts, modern changing rooms and welcoming social spaces, you'll play a key role in helping players of all ages develop their tennis skills. Deliver fun, inspiring and engaging group sessions as part of a supportive coaching team, while contributing to a positive and inclusive tennis programme. You will also have the opportunity to grow your own coaching business at this iconic venue by delivering private lessons during weekday daytimes.
We are introducing a weekday-morning programme of adult classes, and offering coaches the opportunity to grow these classes and then coach your own private lessons for the rest of that day.
There are also opportunities for coaching our classes on regular evening sessions or occasional holiday cover.
What you'll do:
Grow our new weekday morning programme of adult classes, paid by the hour - usually two classes per day, 08:00-11:00.
Coach private lessons to your own customers 11:00-17:00.
Deliver outstanding tennis coaching while maintaining a welcoming, professional and positive experience for all customers.
Work collaboratively with the coaching team to deliver a consistent, high-quality tennis programme.
Uphold the commitments outlined in the Customer Charter and maintain the highest service standards.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, following all relevant operating procedures and safeguarding policies.
Encourage players to continue their development by enrolling on additional courses and programmes.
Record player progress and complete relevant awards in line with programme standards.
Maintain LTA Coach Accreditation (and be qualified to Level 2 as a minimum)
Maintain an enhanced DBS with the Government Update Service
The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre is a major sports venue in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London, located at Leadmill Lane, London E20 3AD, near Stratford and Leyton. It was originally built for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, where it hosted the wheelchair tennis competition, and reopened to the public in 2014 as a combined hockey and tennis centre.

We're looking for approachable, reliable coaches with the patience and enthusiasm to inspire people of all ages and abilities. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, building strong relationships with players and encouraging them to achieve their potential. With your LTA Level 2 or above, you'll be confident delivering high-quality sessions across a range of ages and abilities, from young beginners to experienced adults.
You'll be LTA Accredited with at least two years of experience coaching both group and private lessons.
