Tennis Coach - Leicester Forest East tennis club
Leicester Forest East Tennis Club is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated LTA Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Tennis Coach to join our growing coaching team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering a high-quality coaching programme across junior and adult tennis, helping players of all abilities to develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.

Key Responsibilities
•Deliver high-quality, engaging tennis coaching sessions to juniors and adults.
•Plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the age, ability and needs of players.
•Create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable coaching environment.
•Support the development and progression of players within the club programme.
•Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality and organisation.
•Communicate effectively with players, parents and club members.
•Encourage player retention and continued participation in tennis.
•Assist with the development of coaching programmes, events, camps and other club activities.
•Follow LTA safeguarding, health and safety and coaching standards.
•Contribute ideas and feedback to help continually improve the coaching programme.
Being Part of the Team
The successful coach will become an integral part of the coaching team, working collaboratively with the Head Coach and other coaches to ensure consistency and quality across the programme.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the wider development of the club, rather than simply deliver individual coaching sessions.
There will be opportunities to work alongside other coaches, share ideas, develop new sessions and take on additional responsibilities as the programme grows.
The successful coach will be starting on the following;
- 15 hours of group lessons
- 10 private lessons (mix of juniors/adults)
Hourly rate £16-£20 depending on experience.
Leicester Forest East Tennis Club is an established and welcoming tennis club with an ambitious and growing coaching programme.
The club caters for players across a wide range of ages and abilities, from beginners and juniors starting their tennis journey through to more experienced competitive players.
The coaching programme forms part of a wider network of tennis venues and coaching programmes, providing opportunities for coaches to gain experience across different environments and player groups. This wider coaching structure is continuing to grow, creating potential opportunities for coaches who are looking to develop their experience and coaching career over the longer term.
One of the club’s key advantages is its indoor courts, allowing coaching to continue throughout the year regardless of weather conditions. This provides coaches with the opportunity to deliver a consistent programme without the disruption often associated with outdoor tennis, the club also has 4 artificial clay courts which are floodlit.
The club is continuing to invest in the development of the club and its coaching programme , it is looking to build a strong team of coaches who can grow with the club and become part of its long-term development plan.
Essential
•LTA Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, with valid LTA Coach Accreditation.
•Valid DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid certification, held as part of current LTA Coach Accreditation.
•Well organised, reliable and professional, with excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with parents, players and club members.
•Proactive, positive and passionate about tennis and developing players.
•A self-starter who is motivated to learn, improve and develop their coaching under the guidance of senior coaching leadership.
•Able to work effectively as part of a coaching team and contribute positively to the wider development of the programme.
Desirable
•Level 2 coaches actively working towards Level 3, with the club able to support their development through Head Coach mentorship.
•Experience coaching both juniors and adults across a range of ages and abilities.
•Experience delivering group coaching sessions, camps or player development programmes.
•A genuine interest in developing a long-term coaching career within a growing tennis programme.
