Tennis Coach - Edgbaston Archery Lawn Tennis Society
As a self-employed coach, you will have the autonomy to build and deliver high-quality coaching sessions across our historic facility. You will work with a diverse client base, offering individual lessons and leading group sessions tailored to varying skills and age groups.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering Coaching: Design and lead high-energy, structured individual and group lessons for adults and juniors of all skill levels.
* Program Building: Assist in expanding our junior development pathways, adult beginner programs (e.g., Tennis Xpress), and social tennis sessions.
* Flexible Scheduling: Work flexible hours to accommodate high demand, specifically during evenings and weekends.
* Community Engagement: Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for the club, organizing internal tournaments, social events, and holiday camps.
* Court Safety & Maintenance: Ensure all sessions adhere to safety standards and safeguard procedures while keeping equipment well-maintained.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Coaching Certification: Accredited Tennis Coach qualification (e.g., LTA Level 2/3 or international equivalent).
* Self-Employed Status: Must be registered as self-employed, holding relevant public liability insurance and a valid First Aid certificate.
* Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS check / background check cleared (or equivalent safeguarding certification).
* Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire players across all age groups.
* Passion & Drive: Energetic, reliable, and committed to growing a personal coaching client base within a historic club setting.

The ideal candidate is an accredited, highly motivated Tennis Coach (LTA Level 2/3 or equivalent) with the drive to manage their own business within a historic club setting.
Qualifications & Safeguarding: Certified coach with valid First Aid, Public Liability Insurance, and Enhanced DBS / Safeguarding clearances.
Experience & Skills: Skilled at coaching diverse ages and abilities—from young juniors to competitive adults—with strong group control and court management.
Traits & Mindset: Highly energetic, passionate, and proactive about growing a client base and engaging with the club community.
Availability: Flexible schedule with full willingness to work high-demand peak hours, specifically evenings and weekends
