Multi-Venue Lead Coach
This is a career-defining opportunity to lead one of National Tennis's largest regional parks programmes. Covering our tennis across Bedford Parks, Luton Parks and Shephalbury Park in Stevenage - a total of 11 venues, including 2 floodlit sites - this is a substantial, high-impact role with the scope to lead, grow and shape a thriving programme across the region.
We are looking for an ambitious, driven coach ready to take real ownership. You will lead delivery across the region, grow participation, develop and mentor a team of coaches, and build strong relationships with our local authority and club partners. This is a chance to put your stamp on a programme with genuine momentum behind it.
The private lesson potential here is exceptional. The outgoing coach leaves behind a private lesson waiting list, so there is an immediate, ready-made base for you to step into and grow - a rare head start for any coach building their income.
Taken together, the employed delivery and the private coaching mean this role carries realistic earnings potential of around £40,000 per year for the right person. On-court delivery spans LTA Youth through to Adult group sessions on a weekly basis across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the regional parks programme across Bedford, Luton and Stevenage (11 venues, including 2 floodlit sites).
- On-court delivery across LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult sessions and Cardio Tennis.
- Recruit, lead and mentor a team of coaches across the region.
- Develop school, club and local authority links to grow participation.
- Build on the inherited private lesson base and grow your own thriving individual coaching business.
Hours & Compensation:
- Full-time role with guaranteed, supported hours.
- Total package worth up to around £40,000 per year, combining employed delivery and a strong private lesson base, dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Inherited private lesson waiting list from the outgoing coach - an immediate base to build on.
- Private individual coaching typically £35+ per hour, with 100% of self-employed income retained.
- Both employed and self-employed arrangements are available - we will work with you to find the right structure.
Benefits
- Retain 100% of income from self-employed individual coaching.
- 5 weeks paid holiday (for employed coaches).
- A Personal Development Plan with NTA management, plus funded CPD courses.
- Workplace perks, including cinema and supermarket discounts.
- All necessary equipment provided.
- Racket Ambassadorship with Tecnifibre.
- Adidas sponsorship, including paid clothing and 50% off all Adidas products.
