The successful candidate will lead fun, welcoming and inclusive junior group sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate coach who enjoys helping young players build their skills, confidence and love of tennis.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging junior group coaching sessions.
Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment for every player.
Adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.
Support players’ technical, tactical, physical and personal development.
Build positive relationships with players, parents and fellow coaches.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, organisation and communication.
Help grow participation and encourage players to progress through the programme.
Essential requirements
-Minimum LTA Level 2 Instructor qualification.
-Current LTA Coach Accreditation.
-Valid DBS check, safeguarding training and first-aid certification.
-Experience working with children in a group-coaching environment.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-A reliable, organised and professional approach.
-Availability to coach regularly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
We are looking for someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to every session, works well as part of a team and is committed to providing an excellent experience for junior players.
We have four hard court tennis courts, which are located next to the Sports Centre. The outdoor courts have floodlighting for evening use and are covered by a bubble during winter, allowing play to continue year-round.
Playing tennis regularly is an excellent method to keep in shape and develop your reflexes, agility, strength, and overall physical health
Have experience delivering group coaching to junior players.
Be confident planning and leading sessions independently.
Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Communicate clearly and positively with children, parents and other coaches.
Be organised, punctual and reliable.
Be available to coach on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Be passionate about developing young players and helping to grow participation in the programme.
Knowledge of the LTA Youth stages and experience coaching players of different ages and abilities would be advantageous.
