Head Coach - Blewbury LTC, South Oxfordshire
We are seeking a passionate and experienced tennis coach to join our established multi-club programme as the Head Coach, Blewbury LTC, South Oxfordshire.
This full-time role, overseeing a well-established tennis clubs within a 20-minute drive of each other. The successful candidate will lead the tennis programme at Blewbury Tennis Club and additional South Oxfordshire venue, Portcullis LTC.
This role is integral to the delivery and development of the largest and most successful tennis programmes in Oxfordshire.
On-court delivery consists of a current well established programme at two venues, seeing over 300 weekly players. Delivery includes: LTA Youth Start, adult groups and individuals tuition.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver an individual coaching business alongside delivering a group coaching programme. The successful candidate will quickly build a minimum of 15-20 hours of regular individual coaching sessions, which will be supported with marketing by NTA.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Court Delivery: Continue to deliver and maintain high quality tennis coaching sessions, including LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult Sessions, and Cardio Tennis. Develop school/club links to enhance the outreach in South Oxfordshire.
Off-Court Management: Oversee the respective tennis programmes, assessing the programme quality with the Programme Manager, manage your venues court bookings, handle small administrative tasks.
Provide outreach support, assist facility users and perform additional duties to foster the programme growth.
Personal Coaching Business: Opportunity to supplement income through individual coaching on a self-employed basis.
Other duties may be required such as coach meetings, including on and off court training.
Hours & Compensation:
Full-time role, 25 hours per week, plus up to 15-20 hours of individual coaching.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Potential for additional income from personal coaching, competition, camps and community events such as Schools, estimated at £12,000 - £18,000 per year.
Total combined income potential: Up to 45k
Our South Oxfordshire Cluster consists of five venues with well established programmes. These venues consist of Portcullis LTC, Boundary Park and Blewbury LTC.
Portcullis LTC is a LTA Registered Venue with over 330 members located on the Hithercroft Sports Park (OX10 9RB) on the edge of Wallingford. Founded in 1952, Portcullis LTC has seen steady growth and benefits from 5 all-weather hard courts and floodlight facilities meaning we can play all year round. The club competes in various county competitions at all ages and abilities with the Men’s first team in the Premier Division.

Blewbury LTC is a 4 all-weather court LED Floodlit venue. Blewbury LTC is also a LTA Registered Venue with over 200 members located in Blewbury within the Recreational Ground, Bohams Road, Didcot OX11 9HF. Blewbury is an LTA registered Tennis Club and provides it's members with a full range of social tennis and match play opportunities and excellent coaching for both seniors and juniors. The club run ladies, men’s and mixed doubles teams and compete in the Oxfordshire and Newbury Leagues in both the summer and winter.

Ideally seeking a LTA Qualified and Accredited Level 3 coach.
Passionate about tennis with a solid background in coaching.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing various coaching programmes with the support of management.
Committed to personal development and the growth of tennis within the community.
The successful applicant will ideally be an LTA Accredited Level 3 coach or above and have:

A minimum 3 years experience as an Accredited LTA Coach, tailoring sessions to cater to a range of skill levels, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
Off-Court Responsibilities:
Strong planning skills to develop and execute long-term visions for programme growth.
Ability to engage with NTA management, Schools, Parents and Committees.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.

A dedication to personal and professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends in tennis coaching, sports management, and customer service.
