Your job title is Head Padel Coach. You are responsible for setting up the padel operation at launch, running it day to day, and leading all coaching. Your duties include (but are not limited to) those set out below.
Setting up the facility and programme
•Designing the coaching programme, including beginner, improver, performance and junior pathways, group clinics, private lessons and camps
•Proposing prices for lessons, court hire, memberships and events for the Directors' approval
•Setting up the court booking rules, membership structure, leagues, ladders and tournaments
•Sourcing coaching equipment (rackets, balls, ball machine and similar) within the budget agreed with the Directors
•Writing the operating procedures and risk assessments for the courts, and helping to plan launch events and open days
Running the padel operation
•Managing the day-to-day operation of the courts, including bookings, scheduling, opening and closing
•Carrying out and recording regular inspections of courts and equipment (glass, surface, nets, lighting), and arranging repairs and maintenance
•Making sure health and safety rules are followed and that accidents and incidents are recorded and reported
•Recruiting, training, supervising and building the rota for assistant coaches and court staff, in consultation with the Directors
•Developing assistant coaches to the standard of coaching, technique, safeguarding and customer service required by Manx Padel, through training, observation, feedback and regular assessment, and reporting on their progress to the Directors
•Delivering a high standard of customer service and building a loyal player and member community
•Reporting to the Directors on court use, coaching income and progress against agreed targets
•Working with Padel Park Ltd (Padel Park Eatery) on joint events, promotions and customer experience
Coaching
•Delivering group and private lessons to players of all ages and levels, including juniors
•Running clinics, camps, social sessions and competitions
•Assessing players' progress and giving clear feedback and development plans
•Promoting padel on the Isle of Man, including through schools, clubs and community groups
You may be asked to undertake other reasonable duties from time to time.
