Telford Park LTC is the second oldest tennis club in England and is situated in the heart of a residential area in Streatham Hill. We have seven well maintained courts set in tree-lined grounds and are at the centre of a conservation area. We are a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club), with a volunteer run Board of Directors, and rely on our large band of willing volunteer members to help us maintain a social and vibrant tennis community.
We offer five all-weather artificial clay courts, all fully flood lit and two hard courts. The two hard courts are due to be resurfaced to artificial clay and floodlit this Autumn. Our recently refurbished clubhouse has full-length windows overlooking the courts, a modern kitchen, bar and changing facilities, spacious seating room and table tennis area. The Head Coach has a private office space shared with the Administrative Manager, and a separate equipment storage area.
Telford Park LTC fields Adult Men's, Ladies' and Mixed Doubles Teams as well as Junior teams in the LTA Surrey Summer and Winter Leagues. We have a membership of circa 475 Adults and 150 Juniors. We have internal singles and doubles box leagues which operate throughout the year and run an exciting summer tournament for adults and juniors over three weeks in June which is a highlight of each year, both from a social and sporting point of view. We have a well-established junior tennis programme for around 300 juniors aged 4-18, and a strong team of coaches providing individual coaching for adults and juniors, team coaching and coaching support for social events. This summer we ran our first and very successful Telford Park Open Tournament (LTA Grade 4) which we hope will become an annual event.
| We're looking for an inspiring leader, on and off the court — someone with the business drive to run a successful self-employed coaching practice, the organisational skills to manage a coaching team and coaching programme and the personality to become a familiar, welcoming face around the club.
