Whalley range is an amazingly friendly community based club and we are looking for a full time club coach with the minimum qualification of a level 2 and ideally looking to do their level 3 within the year. You will be mostly working with juniors and adults at a recreational level, however there are some performance juniors and advanced adult squads.

The coach will be working in a small team including 2 other full time coaches. The head coach is a level 4 coach with 20 years experience offering mentoring.

We are also looking for the coach to have aspirations in learning how to become a head coach/running a tennis coaching business as this may be an opportunity in the future!

The coach must have great people skills and be exceptional at building relationships reinforcing the warming club environment.

The role provides 17 hours of squads, however this could increase if the coach has experience in providing cardio tennis and there is free court time in and around these hours to provide private lessons which are high in demand at the club with waiting lists.

The club is a cricket and tennis club with a very friendly club feel.

It has 3 hard court which are very playable but being resurfaced in sprint of April 2026.

The coach will lead squad sessions organised by the head coach and invoice the club directly.

Membership to the club will be free and the courts will be free for the coach to book and do private lessons in and around the squad hours

Looking for a coach with aspirations to be a head coach.

Young coaches early on in career definitely considered as well as experience because the most important thing is people skills over everything else and the ability to want to learn and embrace the clubs philosophy.

Must be able to make people feel very welcome !
