Experienced Coaches Wanted – Batchwood Tennis Centre
Batchwood Tennis Centre is looking for experienced and ambitious tennis coaches to join our growing coaching team.
We have a number of coaching opportunities available within our junior and performance programme, including Lead Age Group Coach positions.
We are looking for coaches who are passionate about player development, competitive tennis and creating a positive environment for young players.
Minimum qualification: LTA Level 2
For the Lead Age Group Coach positions, our preference is for coaches who are LTA Level 4 or Level 5 qualified, or coaches who are working towards Level 4 or above.
The Lead Coach position will require you to work closely with players, parents and the wider coaching team to support player development and progression.

Batchwood Tennis Centre is based at Batchwood Golf & Sports Centre, Batchwood Drive, St Albans, AL3 5XA.
Our mission is to provide an inclusive, welcoming and high-quality environment where players of all ages and abilities can enjoy tennis, develop their skills and reach their potential.
The centre has six indoor tennis courts and one outdoor court, providing a year-round facility for players of all levels. We deliver a range of programmes, including junior and adult development programmes, alongside a dedicated junior performance programme designed to support players looking to progress their competitive tennis.
The venue is committed to developing tennis within the local community and providing opportunities for players to enjoy the sport, improve their ability and progress through the player pathway.
We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and committed tennis coaches to join our coaching team across a range of roles and programmes.
The ideal candidates will have strong coaching and communication skills, a positive and player-centred approach, and the ability to create engaging, supportive and purposeful coaching environments. Candidates should be reliable, organised and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider coaching team.
Experience working with junior and adult players is desirable, with experience in performance or competitive tennis particularly relevant for those interested in our performance coaching roles.
For the Lead Coach role, we would ideally be looking for a coach qualified to LTA Level 4 or Level 5 with the experience and coaching ability to lead sessions and support the development of the wider programme.
We are also keen to hear from coaches at different stages of their coaching career, with opportunities available across our development and performance programmes. Above all, we are looking for coaches who are passionate about tennis, dedicated to developing players and committed to creating a positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment.
