On the physical, tactical and technical tools for coaching female padel workshop, you’ll explore the differences and similarities between the sexes and work through activities that all women and girls can and should do. Learn how coaching interventions, across tactical and technical areas, should be informed by knowledge of the female anatomy.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the female body and how to maximise technical and tactical effectiveness and efficiency through simple interventions.
- Learn why and how to teach female players the importance of controlling space tactically
- Explore female overheads: why, what, and how
This five-hour practical workshop is a must for padel coaches who want to help female players maximise their potential and minimise risk of injury. It also provides great learning for players, especially women, who want to ensure that they are on track physically, tactically, and technically with their own padel journey.
Course creators:
This workshop was developed and written by a team of content creators including Iciar Montes former world number one female padel player and Spanish national women’s team coach; former world-champion Belen Castrillo de la Cruz, LTA Level 4 Coach and GB national women’s team coach Libby Fletcher and Jo Ward who is an international expert and speaker on coaching female tennis players. The workshop also includes a strength and conditioning module created by created by Strength and conditioning coach and Level 5 tennis coach Suzanne Williams and LTA Coach Education lead, LTA qualification tutor and Les Mills quality assurer Isla Smith.

Our main hub, Bromley Tennis Centre, is an official LTA Regional Player Development Centre (RPDC) and hosts major events including the Kent County Championships and a range of national and regional competitions.
