The LTA Level 3 Coach Qualification is a 12 day assessed course aimed at people looking to progress from the Level 2 and work full-time within the tennis coaching profession. The qualification is an assessed course with formative assessments being run by Coach Development Centres, and Individual Summative Assessments being booked and assessed separately via the LTA.
Upon successful completion you will be able to work independently and coach beginners and improvers in group and individual lessons as well as overseeing the work of Assistants (Level 1) and Instructor (Level 2).
The course is 12 days in duration, consisting of 12 days of delivery and a submission of a video based assessment.
Assessments can only be booked once the core training days have been completed. Please click here for more details on Assessments or contact the Coach Development Centre running the core training.
The course is split over a minimum period of 3 months and will cover areas such as understanding how to set up and run aspects of a coaching programme, disability awareness, how to work within the competitive structure in the UK and organise LTA participation programmes such as GBTW, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis, and Tennis Tuesdays. Additionally, the course requires candidates to complete an online portfolio and gain a minimum of 27 hours experience assisting an LTA Accredited+ coach between the course modules.
Please be aware that LTA Coach Qualification and CPD courses use a learning management system (LTA Learn) that you may be required to access for course resources and/or online coursework. By enrolling onto one of these courses, your first name and last name will be visible to other learners on the course. No contact information is shared.
