LTA-SERVES-forehand-shot.jpg

Want to play your part in opening up tennis or padel in your local community and helping more people discover their love for the sport?

Find out more about becoming an Activator and how you can run tennis and padel sessions at venues near you, including exciting programmes like Barclays Free Park Tennis, FAGE LTA Youth Go! and LTA SERVES.

What is an Activator?

Activators run tennis and padel sessions in their local communities - helping people play, learn new skills and enjoy both sports.

They host fun, exciting tennis and padel sessions for their local communities in a variety of venues, whether that’s a park, leisure centre, faith centres and more.

Being an Activator isn’t the same as being a Coach, and you don't need a specific qualification. All you need is a passion for helping people get active and playing sport.

Who can become an Activator?

Anyone can be a tennis or padel Activator – even if you’ve never played or coached the sport before.

All you need is a passion for helping people get active and playing sport. If that sounds like you – becoming an Activator could be just for you.

You will then need to complete your Activator training and safeguarding course. This can be completed either online or at one of our face-to-face training sessions. Some roles will also require a DBS check.

Once you’ve completed your training you can start delivering sessions in your local community.
