Jack Draper set to miss the remainder of the 2025 season

• 1 MINUTE READ

British No.1 Jack Draper has announced that he will miss the remainder of the 2025 season as he continues to recover from an arm injury.

Draper sustained the injury during the summer and took time out to recover post-Wimbledon ahead of the US Open. Despite winning his opening round match in New York, Draper was forced to withdraw from the tournament to help manage the injury.

The 23-year-old took to social media to announce that he will now be sitting out the rest of the season in order to get set for 2026.

“Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I’ll be sitting out the rest of 2025,” he said. “It is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.

“However I’ve been through this before and I always come back stronger as I’m so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player. Huge thanks to everyone who backs me to do well and supports me on my journey. Can’t wait to get back out there and give it my all. See you soon!”

Draper has enjoyed the best season of his career this year – winning his first ATP Masters title at Indian Wells, reaching the Madrid Open final, career-best runs at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, and breaking into the ATP top five for the first time.

Everyone at the LTA wishes Draper speedy recovery and we can’t wait to see him back on court next year.
