Which British players are competing at the China Open 2025?
This year's tournament in Beijing will see British interest in the form of Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal who are heading to Beijing in a bid to clinch a maiden WTA 1000 crown.
British No.1 Raducanu will lead the British charge and enters the WTA 1000 event in Beijing as the 30th seed off. The former US Open champion was forced to withdraw from last year's tournament due to injury and will be hoping to return with a bang off the back of some strong results of late.
Raducanu will begin her bid for the title in the second round against either Croatia's Donna Vekic or a qualifier, with a potential clash against world No.7 Jessica Pegula in the third round.
She's joined by British No.2 Boulter who will be gunning to better last year's performance of the second round. The 29-year-old opened with a straight sets victory over Taylor Townsend before falling short to eventual champion Coco Gauff.
Boulter comes into the tournament fresh off the back of reaching the Billie Jean King Cup Finals semi-final alongside the Lexus GB team. There, Boulter dismantled Japan's Moyuka Uchijima before pushing America's Pegula in a gruelling three-set battle where she narrowly lost out.
Billie Jean King Cup teammate Kartal completes the British contingent and is set to make her debut at the tournament in Beijing. The 23-year-old will be looking to get her first win on the WTA Tour since her Wimbledon breakthrough back in July which saw her sail through to the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time.
She will take on American Alycia Parks in the opening round.
