The Aegon Awards recognise individuals in British tennis that have reached outstanding achievements on the court or contributing to the development of players. Awarded monthly, there are two awards; Player of the Month and Junior Player of the Month

Winners – January 2017

Aegon Player of the Month: Dan Evans

Dan, who's now up to a career-high ranking of No.45 in the world, reached the first ATP final of his career at the Sydney International at the start of the month, and followed that up with a run to the fourth round of the Australian Open, beating World No.7 Marin Cilic along the way.

Aegon Junior Player of the Month: Emily Appleton

Emily won an ITF Grade 1 competition in Costa Rica in both singles and doubles and then reached the quarter finals of of the Junior Australian Open, which helped the Surrey-born 17 year old achieve a new high junior world ranking of No.11.
