The GB Davis Cup team sealed their spot into the semis of the Davis Cup Finals with an epic 2-0 victory over Germany. The 2015 champions will face Spain in Saturday's final-four clash (16:30 GMT).
Edmund defeats Kohlscheiber in straight sets
Kyle Edmund kickstarted GB's quarter-final against Germany with a solid straight sets victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber.
Just a day after clinching a 6-3, 6-3 win over Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan, Edmund returned to Caja Magica with the same dominant form, hitting fearhand after fearhand to give the Brits a 1-0 lead.
He needed just the one break he acquired at 3-2 to take the opening set, and despite being broken at 2-1 in the second, he broke straight back and held in before breaking again at 5-5, setting him up to serve for the match. A confident service game gave him three match points and he struck on the first to capture an impressive 6-3, 7-5, victory over the world No.79.
Evans battles past Struff to send GB into semis

For the third day in a row, British No.1 Dan Evans contested in a three-set battle - this time against world No.35 Jan-Lennard Struff. Evans took the opening set in a tense tie-break, but Struff proved resilient to take the second and force a decider. The final set went to the wire once more, but Evans delivered a tie-break masterclass and went on to win the thriller 7-6(6), 3-6, 7-6(2), before throwing his racket in the air with joy and running to GB Captain Leon Smith and the roaring team bench.
By reaching the semi-finals, the Brits have automatically qualified for the 2020 Davis Cup Finals.
