Family Fun Weekend: Saturday 9 - Sunday 10 June

The Nature Valley Open’s popular superhero Family Fun Weekend is back again for 2018! Hosted across Qualifying Weekend (9 and 10 June) you can kick off the morning with plenty of outdoor activities including cycling, adventure golf and have-a-go tennis. Both adults and kids can join in with the Big Lego® Brick Build and help create a giant tennis ball made from over 60,000 bricks! Expect to see some of your favourite superhero characters around the grounds and if that’s not enough, enjoy an action-packed day of tennis as players compete to qualify for the main draw. Gates open at 10am with adult tickets only £5 and kids get in for free!

Explore Wimbledon 'The Living Surface': Monday 9 - Sunday 17 June

What do you need for the grass court season? Grass of course! The team from Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum will be at Nottingham to celebrate all things grass:

  • Come and see their celebration of the grass court legends of the past and find out what it takes to be a great grass court player
  • Learn about the history of Wimbledon’s hallowed lawns, what makes them perfect for tennis and find out the secrets on how to make your lawn look (almost) as good as those at Nottingham and Wimbledon
  • See what a day in the life of a groundsman is like
  • Pose in front of their selfie wall with the chance to win prizes from Wimbledon
  • What does the future hold for grass court tennis? Come and find out!

Donation Day: Monday 11 June

For the third year in succession, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People are the tournament’s Official Charity Partner. On Monday 11 June all ticket revenue will be donated to the charity with spectators able to grab a ticket for Centre Court for as little as a £3 donation. Rainbows, the East Midlands’ only hospice for life-limited children and young people, have an incredible team of people who help relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end. Spectators can donate to the charity throughout the week and take part in their raffles and competitions.

The Nature Valley Open will welcome 1,800 school children between Monday – Friday as they take part in another fully subscribed Schools Tennis Festival!
