Which British players are competing at the HSBC Championships?

For spectators, there is some exciting British talent to cheer on at the upcoming event at The Queen’s Club.

Starting with the WTA draw, Katie Boulter leads the British charge as the highest-ranked Brit set to take to the stage at the HSBC Championships.

The two-time Lexus Nottingham Open champion will be looking to channel the support from the home crowd all the way to a third title on the grass this summer. The British No.1 will be hoping she can get her hands around a first WTA trophy since her run to the San Diego crown in March 2024.

Former US Open champion Emma Raducanu is also set to be a part of the historic return of women’s tennis in West London as one of six Grand Slam champions joining the line-up.

Raducanu clocked some standout results during last summer’s grass court swing - reaching the semi-finals in Nottingham and the quarter-finals in Eastbourne. The 23-year-old then went on to equal her tournament-best run of the fourth round at Wimbledon where she narrowly lost out in a three-set defeat to Lulu Sun.

With the former world No.10 having tallied up some impressive wins so far this year, she’ll be hoping she can leave her mark at The Queen’s Club as she bids to be crowned the first women’s champion since 1973.

On the men’s side, world No.5 Jack Draper will be gunning to become the first British men’s singles player to lift the title since five-time champion Andy Murray’s last victory in 2016.

Last summer’s grass swing marked the beginning of the British No.1’s breakthrough on the ATP tour when he captured his maiden title at the Boss Open in Stuttgart - beating two-time HSBC Championships winner Matteo Berrettini in the final.

Since then, he’s gone on to claim a further two trophies, including a Masters 1000 crown in Indian Wells, and has asserted himself in and amongst the world’s top five - placing him as a favourite to go the distance at Queen's.

Which other players are competing at the HSBC Championships?

The first women’s event at Queen’s promises to be a memorable one, with a star-studded line-up taking shape.

Raducanu is one of six Grand Slam champions featuring in the WTA 500 event. Naomi Osaka, Petra Kvitova, Barbora Krejcikova, former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys all join the line-up.

Top ten players Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, and Paris 2024 Olympic Champion Zheng Qinwen will also be a part of the action, alongside Amanda Anisimova, Daria Kasatkina, Beatriz Haddad Maia and more.

Headlining a world-class ATP draw is two-time defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz who will return to West London in the hopes of reclaiming the HSBC Championships crown. The Spaniard has only lost one match on the grass in two years and will arrive as a leading contender for the title.

However, he faces stiff competition in the form of reigning champion Tommy Paul who will be gunning to defend his ATP 500 crown.

Also joining this year’s line-up is last year’s runner up Lorenzo Musetti, defending Lexus Eastbourne Open winner Taylor Fritz, Holger Rune, Alex de Minaur, two-time champion Berrettini, this year’s Miami Open champion Jakub Mensik.
