• Match one: first singles match (No.1 player vs No.2 player; or vice versa depending on the tie draw) 
• Match two: second singles match (reverse singles) 

Sunday 20 September

• Match three: doubles match   
• Match four: third singles match (No.1 player vs No.1 player)* 
• Match five: fourth singles match (No.2 player vs No.2 player)* 

Scoring format 

Each match (singles and doubles) will be played to the best of three tie-break sets, and doubles matches will be played with regular ad scoring.  

The tie is a best of five matches, with the first team to three wins taking the victory.

*Dead Match Policy – If the third match (doubles) is decisive, only the fourth match must be played. The fifth match will not be played unless both Nations and the Referee agree. If the fourth match (third singles) is decisive, the fifth match will not be played unless both Nations and the Referee agree. Any dead match will be played to the best of three sets, with a 10-point match tie-break in the third set and regular ad scoring. The Referee will make all decisions relating the implementation of this policy.  

No outside food or drink is permitted, except in limited circumstances on proven medical grounds.

Only food and drink purchased in Copper Box Arena may be consumed in the venue. 

Tea, coffee, bar drinks, pizza, ice cream and more will be available to buy from concessions around the Arena.

Water bottles and refill

There are free water fountains on both levels of the concourse to refill your water bottle.

You can bring empty re-usable water bottles or a clear plastic bottle that is still sealed. Any type of water bottle that is open and contains liquid will not be permitted in the venue.

Stratford Underground Station 

Exit Westfield at The Cow pub and turn right onto Waterden Road. Continue along this road on the right-hand side for approximately ¾ mile until you reach a controlled crossing opposite Copper Box Arena. Cross Waterden Road and follow the signs. 

Hackney Wick Overground 

Enter the Park via White Post Lane. Follow the path keeping the Energy Centre on your left. After approximately 300 yards, cross the road and walk up the hill bearing left. At the top, follow the signs.

Bus

Bus 388 travels directly from Stratford to Copper Box Arena and stops outside the venue. Travel time is approximately 5 minutes.

Parking

There is no general parking at Copper Box Arena. If parking at Westfield Stratford City, please follow the signs on the pedestrian route to the arena. 

Cycling

There are 140 bicycle spaces at the front of the venue near the main entrance.

Taxi and Coach drop-off 

A dedicated drop-off point is located directly outside the arena. 

VIP entrance 

At the main public entrance head towards Entrance B. The VIP Entrance and VIP Lane is at the far end and signposted accordingly.

Volunteers and stewards will help direct you on the day. 

Your safety and security are very important to us. Our security plans are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain in line with the latest threat level and recommendations from the venue’s security provider, our security advisors and the Metropolitan Police. 

We have a range of measures in place to keep you safe and secure. These include extensively trained security staff, bag and wand searches, and monitored CCTV, as well as other less visible measures. 

During the tournament, we would ask everyone arriving to remain patient, follow the instructions given by the event security and stewards, and allow plenty of time for entry checks. Don’t risk bringing items or baggage that won’t be allowed into the venue. 

Our event security and stewards are spread all over the venue. They're there to help you enjoy your visit and keep you safe. 

We hope you have a fantastic time at the Davis Cup tie, but if you do see something that doesn't look right, please tell the closest event security or steward, who will be more than happy to help. 

Bags and left luggage policy

Unfortunately, there is no left luggage facility on site. 

You can bring in bags no larger than A4 approximately (30cm x 30cm x 30cm). 

For your safety, all bags are subject to inspection by the security team and are brought to the tournament at the owner’s risk. Please do not leave any bags unattended, or anywhere they could cause a security scare, and never agree to look after anyone else’s bags. 

Prohibited items

For your safety, persons in possession of a prohibited item may be refused entry, ejected from the premises, or liable for prosecution.

Prohibited items include: 

• Items which are or may be illegal
• Fireworks and smoke canisters
• Bottles other than reusable water bottles, provided they are empty or plastic water bottles that are sealed
• Glasses
• Cans
• Flags other than those of the two competing nations,
• Banners
• Poles
• Loud hailers
• Any other item, which, in our reasonable opinion, may cause danger or disruption to the event or other visitors 
• Food and drink - no outside food or drink is permitted, except in limited circumstances on proven medical grounds or if the item is a sealed water bottle or empty re-usable water bottles 

Tickets will be scanned at the public entrance of the venue.

Please ensure you have your ticket ready to be scanned when joining the queue, and allow time for entry before the start of play.

Tickets can be scanned out and re-scanned to allow re-entry throughout the day.

There is no specific dress code for the Copper Box Arena, however, you're encouraged to support GB in red, white, and blue.  

Event Programmes will be available to purchase at the venue each day. Make sure you pick up your copy for more exclusive content.  

The following Admissions Policy for the Copper Box Arena has been updated for the Davis Cup tie.  

1. The management reserves the right to refuse admission to any person without reason being given.
   
   
2. All persons entering Copper Box Arena must pay for admission and be in possession of a valid ticket or pass at all times and made available if requested.
    
3. All persons entering Copper Box Arena may have bags and pockets subject to a search – please ensure your bag is open ready for search. 
   
   
4. Copper Box Arena will allow no bag larger than A4 approximately (30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm). Any larger luggage or similar sized equipment is not allowed into the venue and customers should be aware that the venue does not have anywhere the for bags or luggage to be stored. 
   
   
5. Re-admission once you have left Copper Box Arena, is subject to full entry and security checks.
   
   
6. All persons admitted to the grounds will obey any orders, instructions or directions given to them by staff or agents.
   
   
7. No children under the age of 5 will be permitted entry and children between 5-16 must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years & over, at all times.
   
   
8. Copper Box Arena, GLL, its servants, agents or employees, are not under any liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property, however caused.
   
   
9. The obstruction of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and like places is strictly forbidden.
   
   
10. No unauthorised persons are permitted to enter the field of play or performance area.
    
    
11. Copper Box Arena operates as a cashless facility.
    
    
12. Betting of all kinds is strictly prohibited.
    
    
13. The making of any kind of unauthorised noise and the use of unauthorised radio equipment, musical instruments, drums and such like are strictly prohibited.
    
    
14. Nuisance of any kind, including, foul, abusive or racial language, or all forms of anti-social behaviour is not permitted and may lead to prosecution.
    
    
15. Animals will not be permitted to Copper Box Arena unless advance written permission has been given, which the exception of police, security and assistance dogs.
    
    
16. No unauthorised vendor, collector, hawker or canvasser will be admitted to Copper Box Arena.
    
    
17. Prohibited items. Persons in possession of a prohibited item may be refused entry, ejected from the premises or liable for prosecution. Prohibited items include;
    
    1. items which are or may be illegal;
    2. fire works, smoke canisters, bottles other than reusable water bottles provided they are empty or plastic water bottles that are sealed, glasses, cans, flags other than those of the two competing nations, banners, poles, loud hailers and or any other item, which in our reasonable opinion, may cause danger or disruption to any Event or to other visitors (regardless of whether or not such item is illegal or is carried for specific purposes);
    3. or food and drink (see 18). 
       
18. No outside food or drink is permitted, except in limited circumstances on proven medical grounds. Only food and drink purchased in Copper Box Arena may be consumed in the venue.
    
19. We advise against bringing buggies to the venue. We cannot guarantee storage for your buggy, please contact the venue directly.
    
    
20. GLL operates a no smoking policy throughout Copper Box Arena, including e-cigarettes.
    
    
21. Photography;
    
    
    1. No camera, video camera, sound recording equipment or other photographic apparatus may be brought onto the premises for commercial purposes without advance written permission from Copper Box Arena or GLL.
    2. Copper Box Arena or GLL may on demand have access to your photographs and video footage and request that certain photographs and/or footage are deleted if they are deemed to be offensive to or infringe the privacy of other guests and/or staff.
    3. By entering Copper Box Arena you agree not to intentionally photograph and/or capture video footage of any individual without that person’s permission.
    4. Occasionally Copper Box Arena, GLL or other authorised parties carry out photography and/or video recording in the venue, which may feature guests. By entering the venue you are deemed to accept this Admissions Policy, and you therefore agree that Copper Box Arena, GLL or any authorised party may use such images in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever.  

These regulations are not to be regarded as exclusive and may be added to by Copper Box Arena, GLL or an event organiser at any time.                           

Entry to the venue is deemed to constitute unqualified acceptance of all the rules and regulations set out in this Admissions Policy.
