Floodlighting & Electrical Partnership to invest into Welsh facilities and international tennis

• 3 MINUTE READ

Tennis Wales have welcomed Floodlighting & Electrical as an official partner of the National Governing Body in Wales for a further two years.

Floodlighting & Electrical have a long established reputation in the industry, supporting sports clubs, universities, Local Authority’s, leisure centre’s and major sports stadia with a range of lighting and electrical solutions and in recent years proactively supported tennis venues with lighting and electrical solutions in Wales.

The partnership sees Floodlighting & Electrical supporting Welsh places to play wishing to develop their tennis facilities, as well as investing financially in Tennis Wales’s growing international competition calendar, with branding rights and sponsorship linked to Tennis Europe and ITF competitions for some of the top juniors aspiring to play on the world stage. The two year deal also extends to support the Tennis Wales Awards, the annual celebration of great people and places in Welsh tennis, with Floodlighting & Electrical sponsoring the annual Community Award.

Commenting on the partnership Gareth Roberts, Director said

“Floodlighting and Electrical has built its business and reputation over the last 40 years on strong partnerships and relationships. We have the same ambitions as Tennis Wales in providing the best lighting solutions for all their customers, which will create more opportunities to play tennis throughout the year and into the darker evenings. We will also work with Tennis Wales to significantly reduce energy use across their network, resulting in a reduction in costs at each facility, alongside a positive impact on the environment. I look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with Simon and his team, over the next two years”.

Simon Johnson, Chief Executive at Tennis Wales commented

“We have big aspirations to develop Welsh tennis facilities in the years ahead, and our partnership with the team at Floodlighting & Electrical is going to help speed up our work. We have over 1,100 tennis courts in Wales but very few are floodlit, which means a lot of people play less during the autumn and winter months. This new investment into the sport as a partner in Wales will not only develop better Welsh tennis facilities, but help grow and develop our international competitions and annual Tennis Wales Awards”.

Floodlighting & Electrical provide a range of lighting and electrical services and more information can be found online https://www.floodlightingelectrical.co.uk/ .
