Roadshow Fund 2026

Tennis Scotland is excited to announce the launch of our national Schools Roadshow Fund for 2026! This exciting initiative provides financial support of £300 per coach and club across Scotland, helping them to deliver fun and engaging tennis taster sessions in schools and build stronger school-to-club connections.

Fund Purpose & Application Details

The fund aims to support tennis clubs in delivering 1–2 weeks of intensive taster sessions at local primary schools. These sessions aim to engage large groups of children with fun, energetic tennis activities. We recommend offering one-hour taster sessions per school class, ensuring a wide reach across different ages and local communities.

For many children, these taster sessions will be their first experience of tennis, so applications must include a follow-up plan inviting participants to book a place on a Barclays Big Tennis Weekend at their local tennis club to encourage continued involvement.

To reduce barriers to participation, especially for underrepresented groups, Open Days should include attractive promotional offers, creating a welcoming environment for new players to start their tennis journey.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

  • Venues must be LTA registered.
  • Coaches must be LTA accredited, with a minimum qualification of Level 2 (LTA Instructor).
  • Minimum of 10 hours coaching – with the aim to reach as many schools and pupils as possible.
  • All school taster sessions must promote a Barclays Big Tennis Weekend at your venue, and your Barclays Big Tennis Weekend Open Day must be uploaded to ClubSpark. A link to this must be included within your application.
  • If using a non-ClubSpark platforms for follow-up coaching or memberships, applicants must provide insight on how transitions are managed.
  • The application should reflect a partnership between the club’s coaching team and the club committee. The maximum award available is £300.

Measures of Success

  • Number of sessions and pupils included.
  • Number of children and families attending the Barclays Big Tennis Weekend.
  • Number of children and families joining the club, enrolling in coaching programmess, or booking pay-to-play tennis courts.
