Scottish Open Padel Championships 2026: Schedule, format & everything else you need to know

National padel champions will be crowned as the Scottish Open Padel Championships take place in Glasgow.

Players from across Scotland, Great Britain and beyond will gather for three days of top-class padel action – so here is everything you need to know.

When & where is the Scottish Open Padel Championships

Racket Barn in Glasgow is the host venue from Friday 18 September until Sunday 20 September. Play is due to begin at 4pm on Friday, 9.30am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.

What ranking points & prize money are on offer?

The event is part of the LTA Padel British Tour and categorised as Grade One, meaning the highest level of ranking points are available.

A prize pot of £4000 will also be dished out between the players.

Who’s playing?

Scotland’s top two men’s players Nicholas Hatchett and Sam Macneil will be pairing up as a team, while the top two in the LTA Padel rankings, Josep Aymerich Bellmunt and Rafael Vega, are also playing together.

The women's event includes two pairs from the LTA top 20 - Eliza Pooley & Ainhoa Rico, and Lucy Jones & Abigial Ombler-Truran.

What is the format?

All matches will be best of 3 sets with ‘star point’ at deuce – meaning ‘advantage’ can only be played twice before a deciding point is played.

How can I follow the action?

Finals Day will be exclusively live on the BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website from 10am on Sunday 20 September.
