Gordon Reid won the 30th Grand Slam title of his incredible career with a dominant display in the men's doubles at the 2026 Roland Garros.
Reid once again joined forces with regular partner Alfie Hewett to clinch a record-extending seventh successive French Open title - and their 24th Grand Slam victory as a pairing.
"Big thanks to Alfie, we've been a team for a long time now, but we are finding new ways to play and new ways to enjoy it," Reid said during the on-court winners' ceremony as the event celebrated half a century of wheelchair tennis.
"It's a big year in wheelchair tennis. It's 50 years of the sport and when we see interviews of the people, the guys who created this sport, everyone says they are amazed by where we are now and how far the sport has come."
The world number one doubles partnership also extended their unbeaten record against Spain’s Martin de la Puente and Stephane Houdet of France to five matches after a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic gold medallists broke their opponents to love in the fifth game to start a sequence of four successive games as they eased to the opening set.
De la Puente and Houdet briefly rallied after falling 5-1 behind in the second set, but there was little to stop Hewett and Reid’s momentum as they moved on to 22 matches unbeaten at Roland Garros in all competition since June 2020.
