Job Description

The role requires a January 2020 start and involves running our thriving junior and adult coaching programme with developing the existing programme and schools programmes. We have a fantastic team of coaches and are looking for someone to come and lead that team. We are highly motivated and the person will need to maintain a very established strong programme. This is a unique opportunity to run one of the strongest Tennis and Squash programmes in the city of Bristol.

In addition to the programme the role will include contributing to the whole club experience and every aspect of the members journey. 

Venue Overview 

At Redland Green Club we are known in Bristol for being a popular venue for all ages and standards, with a particular focus on performance tennis for children aged 10 years or younger through our junior section. Our adults enjoy tennis at all levels including beginners to county standard players and the social side of the club is becoming more and more popular. We currently have around 450 juniors playing regularly at the club and around 200 adult members. We have 4 astro and 4 hard courts of which 6 are floodlit. In addition to this we boast 6 indoor squash courts and a 100 strong junior programme and league teams throughout the divisions.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of all areas of tennis and squash
  • Good Organisation skills
  • The ability to lead and develop others
  • Ability to work to targets and plan
  • Excellent customer service, able to engage with all age groups and abilities
  • A passion for participation.
