Course Details
This course is aimed at coache, venue staff and volunteers. The course looks at how to ensure your tennis venue is creating the right environment and how to manage and challenge difficult situations.
This course covers a wide range of areas protected by law including: age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, gender reassignment and highlights how these issues need to be considered by tennis venues.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define equality, diversity and inclusion and its relationship to tennis.
- Respond to equality, diversity and inclusion issues.
- Know and understand the legal context for equality and diversity.
- Explore the protected characteristics and how to manage complex situations that involve them.
- Understand the power and impact of language and ensure all incidents of inappropriate language and behaviour are challenged.
The duration of this course is three hours including a break and will take place in a classroom environment. This course has been approved by the LTA for 3 CPD licence credits.
