How you can support

As well as making a one-off or regular donation, there’s lots more ways you can support the LTA Tennis Foundation:

Take on a challenge

Why not take on a personal challenge, or with a group of friends, family or colleagues and help raise vital funds for the LTA Tennis Foundation at the same time?

It could be anything – a sponsored run, bike or climb, a sponsored tennis challenge. Whatever you raise will help us support more projects that improve lives through tennis.

Run a fundraiser at your venue

If you’re a member of a tennis club or other venue, why not run a fundraiser there for the LTA Tennis Foundation?

It could be a charity tournament, an afternoon tea, a raffle – the possibilities are endless and anything you collect will be help us support more projects that improve lives through tennis.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving, sometimes known as ‘Workplace Giving’ or ‘Give As You Earn’ is a scheme run by many employers to facilitate donations to charity through your salary.

This is a simple way to support the LTA Tennis Foundation, but it’s also tax effective as donations are deducted before you pay tax. Your donation would automatically stop when you leave your employer.

Fundraise in celebration

Asking your loved ones to donate to the LTA Tennis Foundation can be a great way to mark special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries.

You can set up a fundraising page through our partners JustGiving and ask for donations instead of gifts. You can include a link to your fundraising page on your invites (if you’re holding an event) and shout about it on social media. If you need any materials from us to help, please get in touch.

Leaving a gift in your will

There are broadly three types of gifts you could consider leaving in your will.

  • Residuary gift – this is a share of your estate, where your estate refers to everything you owned including cash in bank and savings accounts, investments, property and belongings.
  • Pecuniary gift – this is a fixed amount of money.
  • Specific gift – this would be a specific item such as a property, stocks, shares or a valuable item.

Leaving a gift in your will is simple, although we recommend using a solicitor or experienced will writer. The most important bits of information you need are our name, postal address and registered charity number – all of which are below:

Give in memory

Donating a gift to the LTA Tennis Foundation in memory of a loved one, particularly if they had a passion for our great sport, can be a special and positive way of honouring a life. This is usually done by holding collections at a funeral service or setting up an in-memoriam page.
