Lead Coach - Trafford Parks
This is a standout opportunity to lead tennis across Trafford - one of Greater Manchester's most vibrant and sport-loving communities. As Lead Tennis Coach you won't just deliver sessions; you'll own and grow the programme, shape its direction, and put Trafford tennis firmly on the map.
This is a role with real ambition behind it. Trafford is a growing programme with significant headroom, and we're looking for a driven Lead Coach to seize it - someone who wants to build participation, grow a team around them, and develop a thriving private lesson base of their own. With the backing, structure and progression pathways of one of the UK's largest tennis organisations, this is a genuine springboard for your career.
On-court delivery spans LTA Youth through to Adult group sessions on a weekly basis - a mixture of established sessions and new sessions you will build as the programme grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-court delivery: lead and deliver tennis coaching across LTA Youth Start, Tennis Express, Adult sessions and Cardio Tennis.
- Programme leadership: grow participation across Trafford and shape the direction of the programme.
- Develop school and club links to feed and grow the coaching programme.
- Lead, recruit and mentor assistant coaches as the programme expands.
- Build your own private lesson base: develop and run individual coaching on a self-employed basis alongside the group programme.
Hours & Compensation:
- Part-time lead role to start, with genuine scope to grow your hours as you build the programme.
- Group delivery typically £16-£25 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Build your own private lesson base, typically £35+ per hour, with 100% of self-employed individual coaching income retained.
- Additional income available from school outreach and camps.
- Both employed and self-employed arrangements are available.
Benefits
- Retain 100% of income from self-employed individual coaching.
- 5 weeks paid holiday (for employed coaches).
- A Personal Development Plan with NTA management, plus funded CPD courses.
- Workplace perks, including cinema and supermarket discounts.
- All necessary equipment provided.
- Racket Ambassadorship with Tecnifibre.
- Adidas sponsorship, including paid clothing and 50% off all Adidas products.
