Gardens Lawn Tennis Club (GLTC) are looking for a motivated and driven self-employed coach to join the club to expand the tennis coaching offered to members. The role will involve coaching both juniors and adults of all ages and experience levels in a group environment or in individual private lessons.

The committee is looking for someone, who would be willing to build a junior programme from scratch, specifically aimed at clinics/programmes for the school holidays. The job role will include some adult group lessons and the ability to run your own individual lessons for our members charged at your own rate.

It is anticipated that the coach will work during school holidays, some weekend slots and be available for lessons in the daytimes and some weekday evenings. The person should be comfortable in developing the coaching programme at the club in partnership with the Committee. This role will suit someone that is looking to add hours to their weekly schedule as this is not a full time position.

We are looking for someone who is willing to work with the GLTC committee to create a safe environment for members and understand the challenges of starting off a new tennis coaching program.

GLTC is a community tennis club located in the popular residential area Southfields in London. The club was established in 1903 and is a tennis club run by the members. The club has 6 outdoor floodlit artificial courts. There are currently over 300 adult members and 90 junior members who have a free membership linked to their parents. The club has 5 men’s and 5 ladies teams taking part in the Surrey League and the club runs four social play sessions throughout the week. The club currently employs a part time coach who runs some group and individual adult coaching.

Ideally you will be a level 3 coach, but an excellent level 2 coach looking to complete their level 3 qualification will be considered.

We are looking for someone who has experience of coaching groups, individuals and team coaching. The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated and deliver quality sessions confidently.
