What is FAST4?

FAST4 Tennis provides a simple, exciting way of speeding up a conventional tennis match. The fundamentals of tennis remain the same, but there are four innovative rules that ensure matches are fast, competitive, exciting and can be completed in a reasonable period of time.

In summary the rules of FAST4 are:

  • First to 4 games wins.
  • Tiebreak at 3 games all.
  • No Ad scoring.
  • Play lets.

Find out more about FAST4 Tennis.

Why FAST4 Tennis?

Having listened to players and parents we have adopted this format to:

  • Reduce time – we accept parents lives are busy and you want quicker matches. FAST4 matches take around 45 minutes.
  • Play more matches – with the introduction of FAST4 scoring format players can now play up to 4 matches in one day
  • Accept more players – in oversubscribed areas of the country organisers will be able to accept 16 players (subject to court bookings) reducing the number of entries turned away.
