Wimbledon 2024: Andy Murray & Emma Raducanu set for mixed doubles
British Grand Slam champions Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu are set to join forces for the mixed doubles draw at Wimbledon.
The dream British pairing have been awarded a wild card from the tournament and are set to combine for the first time, in what will be Murray’s final appearance at Wimbledon.
The three-time Grand Slam champion was sadly forced to withdraw from the singles draw after not recovering in time following a back injury but was still locked in to play in the men’s doubles alongside brother Jamie Murray for the first time. The Murray brothers are set to open their campaign on Centre Court on Thursday 4 July against Australian duo John Peers and Rinky Hijikata.
However, Murray’s decision to partner 2021 US Open champion Raducanu will provide British fans with another blockbuster opportunity to say goodbye to the former world No.1 at the place that crowned him a two-time champion.
The mixed doubles competition gets underway on Friday 5 July, with Murray and Raducanu set to take on Argentinia's Marcelo Arevalo and Shuai Zhang in their opening round match.
