Lexus Ilkley Open 2026: Brits headline summer entry list

• 2 minute read

The entry lists for the 2026 Lexus Ilkley Open have been confirmed, with a number of Brits set to head to Yorkshire next month - including Davis Cup star Jacob Fearnley.

After a rapid rise in 2024 which saw him reach the top 100 for the first time, Fearnley has quickly established himself at the top of the British game.

It was his performances on British grass that helped propel him up the rankings, claiming the Lexus Nottingham Open title in 2024 after coming through qualifying, and Fearnley will be hoping to bring those same levels to Ilkley this summer.

Joining Fearnley will be rising star Jack Pinnington Jones, who reached his first ATP Challenger final in Ilkley last year, before making his ATP Tour debut in Eastbourne and earning a first ever Grand Slam main draw win over then world No.53 Tomas Martin Etcheverry at Wimbledon.

Other British players will be heading to North Yorkshire, including Billy Harris, who reached the quarter-finals at last summer’s Lexus Eastbourne Open, and Toby Samuel, who has risen over 1,700 places in the ATP rankings since the start of 2025 thanks to eight pro titles, including four ATP Challenger wins.

Meanwhile, last year’s men’s champion Tristan Schoolkate will return to defend his crown, with challengers including Portugal’s Henrique Rocha and Norway’s Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, who faced off against Great Britain in the Davis Cup earlier this year.

On the women’s side, with last year’s champion Iva Jovic set to head to the HSBC Championships, a new champion will be crowned for the women’s WTA 125 event.

A number of rising stars of the women’s game will head to Ilkley looking to follow in Jovic’s footsteps, including 17-year-old Lilli Tagger from Austria, who defeated Britain’s Hannah Klugman in last year’s French Open girls singles final, and Emerson Jones, who won on her debut for Australia against Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup in April.

Full entry list

Last year, Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club played host to a WTA 125 event alongside an ATP 125 Challenger for the first time, having previously been held as an ITF W100 level event.

Alongside world-class tennis, headline music acts will feature after the matches as part of the 'Beyond the Baseline' line-up at the tournament, with tickets available to purchase through the club website.

Rik Smith, Tournament Director of the Lexus Ilkley Open said, “With less than three weeks until this year’s Lexus Ilkley Open gets underway, we’re delighted to confirm such a strong entry list across both draws.

"To have some of the best up-and-coming talent – both British and international – feature in Ilkley shows the pull of this event and reinforces the tournament’s position as one of the highlights in the tennis calendar for fans. With our ‘Beyond the Baseline’ festival series for this year adding even more to the on-site experience, we’re confident spectators will enjoy a brilliant day out.”

Centre Court tickets start from £24 for adults and £13 for children, with grounds admission tickets starting from £18 for adults and £11 for children.
