• 2 MINUTE READ

8 Grand Slam titles, 4-time Davis Cup champion and 2 Pro-Slam singles trophies - Fred Perry remains one of Britain's most successful tennis players of all time and a true sporting icon.

From a budding young tennis player in Stockport to winning 3 consecutive Wimbledon titles, the Brit set many records and firsts throughout his career, paving the way to those to play the game since.

85 years ago today Perry became the first ever man to achieve the Career Grand Slam having won all 4 major titles between 1933 and 1935. He did so by beating German player Gottfried Von Cramm at the French Open in 4-sets.

Since then, only 7 other men's singles players have gone on to win the Career Grand Slam, including legends such as 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and current world number one, Novak Djokovic. Take our quiz and see how well you know the 8 men's players to achieve this incredible feat.
