Scottish tennis clubs unite to offer free court access to females on International Women's Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2022, 16 tennis clubs in Scotland are throwing open their doors on Tuesday, 8 March to allow female players of all ages and abilities to pick up a racquet and take advantage of FREE court access at venues across the nation.
As an organisation that strives to empower people to appreciate diversity and equality, Tennis Scotland is extremely proud of the female participation rate across the country, with women making up nearly 50% of all club members. To thank the loyal band of female players, coaches, and volunteers within the community, whilst encouraging others to make their first moves on court, the governing body has united some of its member clubs as part of a nationwide campaign which will see players of young and old step onto the baseline in March.
This year, 16 tennis clubs spread across Scotland’s four regions have signed up for a campaign which will see their courts flooded with female players on Tuesday, 8 March. Women and girls are encouraged to book a court in advance – where possible - and take a long a friend (male or female) to get involved in the action.
