What is a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check?
1 minute

A DBS check is a UK (except Scotland) record of all warnings, reprimands, cautions and convictions obtained from local and national police records. Police forces may also choose to disclose soft intelligence that they reasonably consider might be relevant to the role.

For further information, or to apply for a DBS, please see here.

Please note: DBS checks were previously known as Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks.
