If you have completed a first aid course with an external provider*, you can submit your first aid certificate to the LTA for approval.

The LTA accept the following first aid courses:

• Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 1 day
• Paediatric First Aid (PFA) - 2 days
• First Aid at Work (FAW) - 3 days

And your certificate must clearly include the following:

• Name of training organisation (or provider).
• Name of qualification.
• Name of trained individual (i.e. you).
• A validity period of three years from date of course completion.
• A statement that teaching was delivered in accordance with currently accepted first aid practice.

*An external provider is a provider which is not an LTA Coach Development Centre, such as the British Red Cross or St John Ambulance.
